We recommend you ideally begin shopping 9 to 12 months before your wedding, especially if you are going to be purchasing a made-to-order gown. This leaves time for it to be handmade for you and also fitted to you during alterations. Made-to-order dresses also can be rushed for an extra fee. For our Archive (off-the-rack) inventory: this comes home with you the day you buy it. Perfect for brides working with a short timeline!

A lot of brides think they need to visit multiple shops, but in reality, many find their dress at their very first appointment. If you’ve established your budget, have a clear idea of what you want, and feel confident, trust that feeling. Shopping too much can quickly become stressful, while listening to your instincts often guides you to the gown that truly reflects who you are.

Yes! Here at Love Bird, we are a by appointment only boutique, so that our brides can enjoy dress shopping in a private and relaxed environment. There is a non-refundable $25 appointment fee to give you the best possible experience as a by appointment only store. The fee carries with you if you reschedule (so you don’t need to pay it again to move your appointment)

All good - You can cancel online up to 48 hours prior to the appointment. Please know, because we reserve the boutique for your appointment, if you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. If you no-show your appointment or cancel the day of your appointment, you will be charged a $50 no-show fee. We often have a waitlist with brides, so please let us know if you cannot make it, and we are happy to help you reschedule!

First time bridal appointments are 90 minutes long. We find this is enough time for you to try on all different styles, and narrow it down to your favorite! Second appointments are also available and are 45-60 minutes long. Please keep in mind we do have appointments back to back.

Bring your best entourage! We find the experience to be the most memorable when the bride has their crew there for support. For space reasons, we kindly ask you to bring no more than 3 guests. It’s also completely fine to come to an appointment yourself!

You may be surprised to hear this, but leave the strapless bra and heels at home - for your first appointment they are really not necessary. (Remember, cups will be sewn into your dress!) If you have inspo photos of the look you’re going for, we are all eyes and ears…but want to know the the number one thing to bring? An open mind! You’d be surprised how often a bride ends up loving a dress they never thought they’d wear.

Our bridal gowns range from $2500-$5000. If our gown price range is not in your budget or you are on an extra tight timeline, please contact us regarding available off-the-rack sample gowns.

Our production timeline is typically 6 to 8 months from order date. Rush options are available, so please don’t hesitate to book with us even if you are on a shorter timeline!

Your gown will be made for you in the size closest to your measurements, but achieving that just-right fit is where alterations come in. Our shop does offer in-house alterations for our brides, allowing adjustments to be handled by the same team who handmade your gown. Alterations are offered at an additional cost and are separate from your gown purchase.
For out-of-state or out-of-area brides, not to worry! Your gown can be altered wherever you’re located and we are happy to share recommendations from our trusted networks of experienced seamstresses.

We do not. We are dedicated solely to bridal gowns and accessories for the bride.
